Hint1: The Bates Volumes used the abbreviation of M' for last names starting with Mc. (ex. McCann = M'Cann).
Hint2: Jr or Sr notations are connected to the last name (ex. Meade Jr. is the last name).
Hint3: Some of the Bates Volumes that I am using are hard to read in spots or have incorrect spellings.
Try multiple spellings of a last name if you are having trouble.
