Using the extensive Three-City Study ethnographic dataset, Dr. Burton will take primary responsibility for developing new survey questions in the areas of health, marriage, and children's labor in families. She also will pilot test the new survey questions, assist the survey team in constructing scales, conduct follow up interviews with 30 veteran ethnography families as well as supervise tracking these families and recruiting others as needed.
