RAND Corporation is interested in recruiting dual-degree students for summer internships and full-time positions.

RAND is a non-profit institution that helps policy and decision-making through research and analysis. They are interested in recruiting from PRI because of the dual-degree's strong reputation for training and because current research staff have earned their degrees from Penn State.

The Summer Associates program is geared to students who have completed two years of their Ph.D. program and offers them a paid internship at one of the three RAND offices in the US (Santa Monica, Pittsburgh, Arlington). The location for the internship will be determined by the existing RAND project that the intern will be working on. The stipend is $12,000 for 12 weeks of full-time research. Applications for the summer associates program are being accepted now, and to receive full consideration applications must be received by Jan. 15th 2010.
