The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure track position in social demography to begin July 1, 2009. Substantive areas in social demography might include, but are not limited to marriage and family, immigration, and labor markets. The position will be at the Assistant Professor level (salary commensurate with experience). Seeking a scholar with a strong commitment to both research and teaching. Experience with quantitative research and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate quantitative methods is preferred. The position is subject to final administrative and budgetary approval.
