The Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology has an outstanding opportunity for a GIS Specialist at the Seattle campus of the University of Washington. Competitive candidates will have experience in GIS including basic programming for GIS application and web development, data management, thematic mapping and teaching. Requires a Masters Degree in Geography or related discipline with substantial GIS training, and more than 3 years of applied experience. Demonstrated proficiency with GIS software, including ESRI products, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS. Effective written and communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills.
