The Health Impact Project, a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Pew Charitable Trusts, encourages the use of health impact assessment (HIA) to help decision-makers better assess proposed policies, projects and programs with respect to their impact on health, in order that they may avoid adverse health consequences and costs and improve health. We are issuing this call for proposals to demonstrate the effectiveness of HIAs and promote their incorporation into local, state, tribal and federal decision-making.
