Identifying Neighborhood Level Protective and Promotive Factors for Youth Violence (U01)

Funds are available in fiscal year (FY) 2009 to study how neighborhood and environmental factors reduce youth violence perpetration and victimization by promoting nonviolence or buffering against known risk factors. This award is also intended to support the development and use of innovative measures of neighborhood structural and social dynamics, such as collective efficacy, social cohesion and/or available neighborhood resources.
