Genetic Epidemiology of Substance Use Disorders(R21)
This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) solicits small research projects to expand the application of genetic epidemiologic methods to studies of substance use disorders (SUDs/AUD, drug abuse and dependence) by applying genetic epidemiologic approaches to advance our understanding of developmental trajectories of SUD/AUD, differentiate genetic and environmental factors in the development and maintenance of SUD/AUD, broaden and refine phenotypic definitions of SUDs/AUD, guide the translation of etiologic findings to treatment, prevention, gene-finding and molecular studies, and meet the methodologic challenges of the field.
